Hasn't April been the most up and down month? Glorious sunshine, hailstones, a barmy 20 degrees and then the threat of snow a few days later. Crazy! During the Easter holidays, we spent mornings by the sea and afternoons ambling around beautiful gardens. We picnicked in the sun, and made pizza wrapped up in several layers to keep us warm. Take a sky covered in grey clouds, mix with a cool, damp air, throw in a smattering of drizzle and a promise of rain, and what do you get? The perfect ingredients for a Great British Bank Holiday and a trip to the seaside, right? We know how to pick our days for paddling, chasing waves and then letting the salty sea rush over the tops of our wellies, don't we?

Two other potential titles for this post were, 'I can't get no sleep', and 'Reasons to buy yet another pegboard'. I'm kind of marrying them both together, throwing a touch of pretty in to the mix and wrapping them all up in red twine. If none of that makes any sense, I'm blaming it on the fact that my boys don't sleep, so I don't sleep, so we are one sleep-deprived, slightly crazed house, at the moment. Well, I say 'at the moment' but this has been going on since Christmas. Did I mention that I can't get no sleep?
