I'm a reasonably relaxed person, not easily annoyed, but there are a few things that I can currently be found shaking my head at. A few things that have me throwing my hands in the air and questioning 'why oh why?' A few little niggles that I'd quite like to have fixed.
1. Strictly Come Dancing without Artem
I think I'd convinced myself that I watch Strictly for the dancing. My disappointment at this year's professional dancers tells me that my love of the programme was more about Artem. Why did have to leave?
2. Cooking versus cleaning up
At the weekend, my husband tends to do the cooking in order to 'give me a break'. I simply have to tidy up after him. BUT, the mess he makes doing said cooking often takes longer to clean up than the time he spends preparing the meals. Hardly a break, right?
3. The price of Bottega Veneta handbags
The one I'm currently lusting over is £1,405. Never. In. My. Wildest. Dreams. Here it is. Divine, non? I'm only £1,305 short.
4. Reluctant soap dispensers
Why is it that you can never get the bottom inch of soap out? Why? Am I the only one that unscrews the top and tips it out instead?
5. Jeans that fall down
I'm 38 so I'm guessing that I've been wearing jeans for well over 30 years, maybe even 35 years. And still I'm looking for that perfect pair. A pair that I don't have to pull up every ten seconds. A pair that fits perfectly on my bum and my waist. And a pair that repels children's sticky fingers. Too much to ask for?
Up until recently, I would have added uncomfortable underwear to that list. You know the sort? Underwire that digs in leaving you constantly fiddling with your bra. Just a little bit painful ... and embarrassing.
Well, thankfully, Triumph have solved that particular niggle with their new Magic Wire bra. A bra that contains a clever piece of silicon ... 'all the support of underwire with the comfort of none.' And I guess that also means no wire sneaking out of your bras and ruining your washing machine, as well (yes, another niggle of mine).
Triumph would love you to share your little niggles with them using the hashtag #nigglefix on Twitter and Facebook. They might not be able to solve all of them but they will share some with their lovely community who I'm sure will have some suggestions for you. Probably not when it comes to the price of Bottega Veneta handbags though, unfortunately. Sorry about that.
And do let me know your top niggles in the comments below. Especially if you want to join my campaign to bring back Artem (I'm only half joking about this and contemplating making a few banners with the boys as part of this week's 'craft' project).
