I've been collecting postcards and prints for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, they were mainly used as bookmarks and occasionally blu-tacked to my bedroom wall in and amongst my torn out posters of Pete Sampras (questionable taste, I know, but I was a massive tennis fan). As I got a little older and headed to university, the posters were discarded but the postcards and prints came with me and brightened up my otherwise sparse room in halls. First house, they were there. Rented apartment in Switzerland, they came there too. But now we're in our own home and with no plans to move in the immediate future (despite me spending way to much time browsing on RightMove), it was time to treat some of my favourites with a little more respect and trade blu-tack and washi tape for more elegant frames.
eFRAME is the UK's leading online picture frame and mount manufacturer and they kindly offered me the opportunity to test their services and select some frames for my favourite prints. How nice! I chose my black and white Betty Doll print (poor Betty has been much loved by the boys so was in danger of dying a death by sticky fingerprints) and a geometric bumblebee portrait that I'd yet to take out of its padded envelope.
The hardest part about using eFRAME's services was selecting from the sheer amount of frames and mounting options available. Seriously, just as you find your 'perfect' one, along comes another to tempt you. I knew I wanted one black frame and one white but it still took me well over an hour to choose them both. I opted for made to measure frames as neither print was a standard size. All I had to do was input their heights and widths and eFRAME calculated the dimensions of the frames needed. Easy peasy! And within a matter of days they were at my door. And on my picture shelf.
The total cost of my order, including packaging and delivery, came to £62.29. When compared to similar prints that I've had framed in the past, this price is extremely competitive. And the quality is great too. All frames come with everything you need to hang them on the wall. Mine are staying where they are for now as my love affair with the IKEA RIBBA picture shelf shows no signs of abating.
Don't Betty and Bumblebee look nice all done up?
