A few weeks ago, I spent the evening in the company of some of the nicest bloggers and the incredible Hotter team at their store up on the beautiful Eastgate Row in Chester. Nibbles, prosecco, gossiping and trying on shoes ... that's EXACTLY how you persuade me to leave the house on a cold, autumn evening! I had such a great time and, surprisingly, because I'd initially dismissed Hotter shoes as not being for me, came away with the cutest pair of boots and a very long wish list.
Hotter started out by making slippers, and now they make shoes as comfortable as them. Or more so, because after spending the day wearing these slouchy, soft boots named Pixie, in gunmetal suede, my slippers don't seem quite so comfortable any more. There's no longer an 'ahhh' moment when I take off my boots and place my feet in them. Hotter, with its Comfort Concept featuring butter soft materials, luxurious cushioning and extra wiggle room for toes, has well and truly spoilt me!
Since becoming a proud Pixie owner, they've rarely been off my feet. And are a welcome change from my longstanding obsession with brown leather boots. Hayley chose the pair which I naturally edged towards before throwing caution to the wind and opting for a colour and material quite different to my usual taste. The fur lining feels fantastic, especially on cooler days, and I love the little tassel detail on the back ... it just adds that extra something-something.
Despite being a more unstructured boot, they're still supportive. I've walked for hours and hours in them, over sand, through leaves and on rainy school runs, and they've performed brilliantly. Really, every busy mum needs a Pixie in her life. And possibly a Donna (the black patent is totally swoon worthy). And most definitely a Belle ... in brown leather, of course!
A huge thanks to Hotter for inviting me to such a lovely evening to learn more about the company and for letting me choose a pair of shoes to take home with me. Blogging assignments don't get better than that!
