Rain stops play
Bringing the picnic indoors
I heart Roger Federer
June, for me, is a month which starts with strawberry picking and culminates in Wimbledon. Before the boys were born, I actually used to take two weeks off work to watch the whole tournament and basically survived on a diet of fresh fruit and cream for fourteen days. It's a tradition that I would have quite liked to continue with but the lure of Federer is not quite so strong for the boys as it is for me. I'd hoped they'd feel a kinship with Switzerland's unofficial king, them being born in Zurich. Alas, no. Spoilsports, or what?!
However, tennis-themed picnics? Those, they are fully supportive of.
Hamper packed, rackets in hand, the rain poured. Obviously. What else would we expect at the start of summer? Sunshine? Never! So it was an indoor strawberry and lemonade feast, instead. But nearly as much fun.
Those lashes! Those lashes! My kingdom for those lashes!
The gorgeous blue tray was kindly sent to me by one of my favourite homeware stores, Cordello Home. If you love bright, bold designs as much as I do, you'll fall head over heels for their collections. The tray is from their Signature Collection and the gorgeous colour reminds me of sunnier days and brighter skies. I love it!
