So happy I'm home

The Ordinary Lovely: Happy & Co homeware

I came late to a love of cushions. Despite always having a thing for interiors, I never really got why you'd want to spend hours arranging them neatly on your sofa or bed only to move them around and squash and squish them to get comfy mere minutes later. Admittedly, a perfectly made bed is still rare in my home, but multiple cushions on the sofas and chairs? That, I'm sold on. They're just so nice! Not only wonderful for lazing around on after a sleepless night but they're also a relatively inexpensive way of completely changing the look and feel of a room ... they're your mini makeover if you want to transform a space while on a budget. What's not to love about them?!

Newly launched, uber gorgeous homeware shop, Happy + Co, recently asked if I would like to choose a couple of their products to test and then share with you. Their monochrome table linen is utterly swoon worthy and their mix and match pillow cases just divine. However, it was the cushions which stole my heart, all handprinted using traditional screen-printing methods. The bold designs are absolutely stunning and you get a real sense that they've been created by someone with a love of travel and faraway places.

I chose two of the Bondi/Palm Beach half cushions, one with a blue stripe and orange piping and the other with an orange stripe and green piping, and both backed in black cotton. Measuring 35 x 55 cm and filled with duck feathers, they are a dream to rest your head upon or snuggle in to. At £45 each, they're not at the cheaper end of the cushion market, but are well worth it if you consider the amazing design and fantastic quality ... and also the fact that they completely liven up a chair, a sofa or a room. Not only that, Happy + Co also invest ten percent of their profits in to the Happy + Co Farm in Cambodia, providing much-needed jobs and fresh fruit and vegetables for the community.

I love the 'So happy I'm home' label. It's such a nice touch. The feeling is mutual, I'm so happy to have these two new cushions in my home!

The eagle eyed amongst you might also spot that I have a new sofa ... it's from DFS. I'm working on a really fun post with them which I should have ready to share with you in a couple of days. The boys have been let loose on a styling challenge with very interesting results. I'll be honest, they actually seem to have a better eye than me.

And here's a closer look at the cushions because they're just too nice not to look at in a bit more detail!
