My Favourite Finds: Sweet hearts for your sweetheart from Cotton Clara

My Favourite Finds: Sweet Hearts from Cotton Clara

Valentine’s Day. Do you celebrate it? Is it a thing in your house? We’ve never bothered. I don’t know why. Perhaps it’s because I’m not particularly fond of red roses. Nor overpriced set menus. Chocolate and perfume gifts, I’m always in favour of, though. Green & Blacks and Jo Malone’s Wild Bluebell if you’re reading this, Paul.

Anyway, this ‘my favourite finds’ is dedicated to hearts. Specifically to these beautiful hearts from Cotton Clara. If you're new to The Ordinary Lovely and ‘my favourite finds’, these are posts where I share something small and lovely (and mostly purse-friendly) that I've welcomed in to my home, and that I think you'd be rather fond of too.

I am cheating a bit today because I didn’t actually find Cotton Clara. Chloe, the creative genius behind the business, actually found me and asked if I’d take a photo of her cross stitched felt heart hoops against the new floral wallpaper in my bedroom for her Instagram account. But after seeing them, I knew I had to share them with you. They’re too cute to keep to myself.

The embroidery hoops are 8cm wide and are hand stitched with bright coloured wools on to 100 percent pure wool felt. They add the perfect pop of colour hanging from wall hooks or pegs, or look amazing simply propped up on a shelf. I keep moving mine around. And changing my mind about which one is my favourite on an almost daily basis.

Chloe suggests that you could use them as table settings for a special dinner or afternoon tea and I quite agree. How beautiful would they look sat atop napkins in the centre of individual plates surrounded by cakes and sweet treats? I absolutely need to try this.

There are six different colour combinations to choose from: beige marl with neon coral, blue with mustard, blue with pink, orange with baby pink, pink with red, and mustard with mint green. Although, I’m sure Chloe wouldn’t mind if there was a specific colour combination that you wanted that’s not currently on the list. All are £17 each. Or if you’re really feeling the love, take a look at the LOVE cross stitch hoop set for £45. Why not be your own Valentine and treat yourself?!
