I’m not sure if you know this or not but one of my day jobs is writing and editing the Great Little Trading Co. blog, Make A Happy Home. Think gorgeous, family-friendly interiors, behind the scenes sneak peeks at photo shoots, interviews with so many interesting people, lots of lovely styling inspiration and a ton of craft ideas … some home related some simply because children will love them. For those of you who have asked why I don’t post on here as often any more or have mentioned that you miss my simple craft posts, it’s mostly because I’m busy covering in my floors and walls in glue and paint for GLTC.

This week, I roped my littlest in to help with a baking post. Although, to be fair, with sweet treats on offer, he didn’t need much persuasion. Autumn is my favourite season for spending time outdoors, picking fruit from the trees, taking photographs, and then heading home to bake something yummy. As you can imagine, this blog post for freshly picked apple and currant flapjacks was a joy to put together on a cool but sunny September afternoon. Pop over to Make A Happy Home for the full recipe, and take a look at the other posts while you’re there. I hope you enjoy them.
