I love open plan living. It absolutely suits us as a family. A large space where we can all be doing our thing. Independently but together. It just works. The large kitchen/dining/sitting room leading on to the garden was the main thing that sold our house to us, although at the time, we could only visualise the space as we bought off-plan. We knew it had the potential to be the happy heart of our home and, eighteen months in, it hasn't disappointed. We cook in here, we eat in here, we put our feet up and watch TV in here, we read in here, and I'm even sat on the floor at the coffee table typing this post in here as my husband catches up on some work on his laptop at the dining table. Yes, we have a separate living room but even in the evenings, this room is mainly where we spend our time.
