If you were to glance at my Instagram account on any given week, you'd probably walk away with the impression that my taste is for light and bright interiors and that we spend most of our spare time ambling around the local countryside. And you would not be wrong. However, a casual glance a couple of weeks ago would have left you wondering if North Wales had been experiencing some kind of bizarre heatwave ... it's own little microclimate ... and if we'd rid ourselves of our back garden and installed a fabulous pool instead. Actually, I'm probably doing you a great disservice here. One look, and I think you'd have pretty much guessed that we'd left the cold and miserable British shores for somewhere a whole lot warmer and a whole lot bluer instead. We were, in fact, in Kos, and my oh my was it out of this world.
While I've shared quite a few aspects of our recent family skiing trip with Mark Warner to Chalet Hotel L'Ecrin in Tignes Val Claret, I wanted to write a full review post to give you a complete overview of our experience. I know that holidays can be expensive, especially skiing trips, so you want to be really confident that the travel company and resort is right for you. We had an amazing time with Mark Warner and would definitely return but here's the lowdown to help you make your own decision.
I know that every resort and ski school are a little bit different and have their own personal touches but I wanted to tell you about our experience in Tignes Val Claret with SKIONE, both the children's school (Les Marmottons) and the adult lessons. Arriving on a Sunday night and having to be ready for school at 9am sharp on the Monday morning meant that things were a little fraught and we were not as organised as we possibly could have been, even with the help of the lovely Mark Warner staff. Hopefully, if you're thinking about booking a ski holiday and taking lessons, this post will help put you at ease and make sure that you're fully prepared.
