Bathroom plans ... come, take a look!

Bathroom plans ... come, take a look!

It's been over three weeks since the big move, two weeks since all the boxes were unpacked, and one week since I first picked up a paintbrush (to paint a set of drawers, not the walls ... yet). I stand by my remarks about not wanting to rush in a do too much to the house before we've lived in it for a while but there's one room which already has me wanting to wield a sledgehammer.

The bathroom.

Home makeover: The littlest room revealed

Does anyone remember the great wallpaper disaster of February 2015? It was a Friday night. Paul and I were equipped with a roll of beautiful Laura Ashley wallpaper and a mammoth tub of wallpaper paste. Our intentions were good. We weren't overly confident. We assumed it would take us two nights to paper one very small wall. We planned to take our time. Do things right rather than quickly. Come Sunday, we would be able to stand back and admire our handiwork and smile in the knowledge that the job was done right, and done well. Ha! Half an hour in and half a roll of paper cut up or sliding down the wall and we knew we'd been beaten. We weren't too proud to admit defeat. It was time to call in the professionals!

Home makeover: The littlest room

The littlest room of the house. The downstair's loo. It's possibly not the most glamourous of makeovers to be talking about but hopefully you can help me turn something that's, quite frankly, a little bit plain and boring in to a room that's more colourful and fun. It's a room that sits right next to the front door, quite small in size, but home to all of our boots and shoes (and the many sticks collected on our walks) and the scene of a truly horrendous few months of potty training. It's unloved and muddy.
