Bathroom plans ... come, take a look!

Bathroom plans ... come, take a look!

It's been over three weeks since the big move, two weeks since all the boxes were unpacked, and one week since I first picked up a paintbrush (to paint a set of drawers, not the walls ... yet). I stand by my remarks about not wanting to rush in a do too much to the house before we've lived in it for a while but there's one room which already has me wanting to wield a sledgehammer.

The bathroom.

Welcome back to another #UKHomeBlogHop! This week, Kimberly from Swoon Worthy has once again gathered together an amazing group of homes and interiors bloggers for an extra special summer-themed feature. Every day this week, at 11am GMT, a few of us will be sharing a room that has been given a refresh reminiscent of the warmer months of the year. I'll put a full list of all of the posts which will go live throughout the week at the bottom of the page, as well as the next blog on the hop so that you can pop along.

Using wallpaper in a downstair's loo

Does anyone remember the great wallpaper disaster of February 2015? It was a Friday night. Paul and I were equipped with a roll of beautiful Laura Ashley wallpaper and a mammoth tub of wallpaper paste. Our intentions were good. We weren't overly confident. We assumed it would take us two nights to paper one very small wall. We planned to take our time. Do things right rather than quickly. Come Sunday, we would be able to stand back and admire our handiwork and smile in the knowledge that the job was done right, and done well. Ha! Half an hour in and half a roll of paper cut up or sliding down the wall and we knew we'd been beaten. We weren't too proud to admit defeat. It was time to call in the professionals!
