One organiser to rule them all

One organiser to rule them all

Forgive the Lord of the Rings reference. My imaginary relationship with Aragorn is what gets me through some of the more testing hours of the summer holidays. As the boys were throwing slime around the kitchen this morning, I was walking arm in arm around Rivendell with the son of Arathorn. It was rather nice.

Slime mopped up, Aragorn busy slaying ring-wraiths (he's so brave!), and my cheeky two ridding the sofa of all its cushions and blankets to build a bridge between two dining chairs (Iggy Peck, Architect is one of their favourite books), I decided to tackle something which has been bothering me for a while .... jars!! I love jars, store so many things in them, have too many of them, jars are everywhere, I no longer love jars.

A first desk for a little star

While I was somewhat dismayed to be told that all of my 'fakeovers' were yucky and had to go, I've had a huge amount of fun over the past few weeks ridding my littlest's room of magnolia walls and painting it a cool, crisp white, instead. Gone is the green and in its place are much more distinctive blues and reds, and the Swiss crosses have disappeared in favour of the requested stars. We also said goodbye to a redundant chest of drawers and have welcomed a much longed-for desk.

And.

Despite being a little bit miffed at having my décor choices insulted by a three year old.

The boy did good.

His room looks pretty cool.
