Does anyone else out there sometimes get a little bit jealous of the cool crafts that children get to do? Do you ever find yourself holding on to the paintbrush just a little too long while your little one looks on impatiently? Or do you maybe get lost in colouring only to realise that you've pretty much finished the whole book singlehandedly while your child has long left to play with something else? Surely it can't just be me? Right? Over the past couple of weeks, the boys have turned their hands to decorating tote bags with fabric paint and also creating their own prints out of potatoes. And I've been so jealous. So last week, when they went to bed, it was my turn. And I did both. Combined!
My two little dudes are quite close in age but at two and four, their capabilities are currently vastly different so it's not always easy to find crafts or activities that they can both do and enjoy. But, sound the klaxon, last week, I finally stumbled across one.
Decorating plain white tea towels with fabric paint!
In all honesty, it was something that I quite enjoyed doing too and now we have a lovely gift to give to my mother for Valentine's Day from the boys. I mean, what says love more than hand-painted tea towels?!
