Just So Festival ... a family adventure beyond our wildest dreams

Just So Festival ... a family adventure beyond our wildest dreams

After spending two days and two nights at the Just So Festival, no, no one is ever going to be able to convince me that camping is enjoyable. However, the festival itself? It was amazing. Completely and utterly magical from start to finish. It was like stepping between the pages of a children's book with both weird and wonderful worlds and characters brought to life in the most enchanting fashion. The boys said it was the highlight of their summer holidays. And I have to agree with them. 2am fights with an airbed aside, it couldn't have been more perfect.

I like people. Well, I like some people. But I do not like being around ALL the people or being in the same place as everyone else. Busy places, particularly during school holidays, are my nightmare. So it was with some trepidation that we headed off to the Just So Festival at the weekend.

Twelve reasons why we're counting down to Just So Festival

Twelve reasons why we're counting down to Just So Festival

We have a family-first coming in up in August. Something we're really excited about. We're heading to Rode Hall in Cheshire for Just So Festival. We've never been to a proper festival as a four before but we seriously can't wait, especially after spending hours on the website looking at photographs from previous years and reading about what we can expect this summer.

Granted, we're a little nervous, too. I wouldn't say that Paul and I are natural campers. Far from it, to be honest. But to ease us in to the camping scene, we've booked a beautiful bell tent. Small steps, right? You'll note from the photographs that we've been putting in some practise at home. I'm not convinced that it's going to be similar to sleeping in our cozy living room but here's hoping (I'm delusional, aren't I?).
