When I first spotted the stacking storage tray in the Great Little Trading Co. catalogue, I thought 'nope'. Not that I had any objection to it aesthetically. It was its purpose that I couldn't quite get my head around. A dinky little tray? With cute compartments? For toys? Not on my watch! If ever there was a more perfectly formed tray for breakfast in bed with two rowdy, fidgety, little boys inevitably tucked up next to me, it's most definitely this one. Sorry, toys. You'll have to find somewhere else to house yourselves. This tray is taken.
Children come in to our lives and fill our hearts with so much joy, but on the flip side, they fill our homes with so much of everything else … toys, noise, blankets, more toys, mess, books, bottles, and even more toys. It’s amazing how many things you accumulate when you have children and your home can change beyond recognition.
I have a problem, don't I? It's probably time for me to start a new blog dedicated entirely to storage, isn't it? I talk about it a lot, I know. Its become an addiction. I just can't help it. I've said this a million times I'm sure, but good storage can make such a massive difference to the look and feel of your home. Seriously, when everything can be easily and neatly put away, be that toys, clothes, trinkets, books, etc, it leaves your home so much nicer, brighter and clutter-free. And I think it has a similar impact on your brain and well-being, too. I definitely feel a lot more relaxed when everything around me is all neat, tidy and organised (well, as much as it can be when you live with small toy-loving children).
